Privacy Policy
Web it Up (hereinafter also: “we” or “us”) aims to provide high-quality services. Reliability is an important factor in this. Respect for privacy and careful handling of data is an important part of that reliability. We want to be transparent about the way in which we, as the controller, handle the processing of (personal) data of our customers, senders and recipients of our products and services, and visitors to our website (hereinafter also: “you”). In this privacy statement we explain this further, whereby it is paramount that we comply with the laws and regulations, such as the ‘General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)’. In addition, we explain which personal data we collect and for what purposes we use it. We recommend that you read this statement carefully. This privacy statement does not apply to websites or services of third parties, including hyperlinks to websites of others and social media buttons. We are not responsible for the privacy policy and the use of cookies on those websites and social media platforms.
Use of personal data
Our website processes data that can be traced back to individuals, both directly and indirectly (whether or not provided by the user). Careful handling of these personal data is of great importance. We therefore process and secure them carefully. When processing, we adhere to the requirements of the applicable laws and regulations. This means, among other things, that: we clearly indicate for which purposes we process personal data. We do this by means of this privacy statement; we limit our collection of personal data to only the personal data that is necessary for legitimate purposes; we first ask you for permission to process your personal data in cases where your permission is required; we take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and also require these measures from parties that process personal data under our responsibility; we give you the right to view, correct, delete or export your personal data at your request. We offer various products and services in the context of which (personal) data is processed.
Order process
When you order a product via our website, we process both personal data of the sender and personal data of the person to whom you are sending the surprise (recipient). Sender: When you are logged in as a sender during the ordering process, we process the following data: name and address details, telephone number, email address, gender, IP address and information about the order, such as the order and delivery date. Except for your name, email address and IP address, all of these data are optional (not mandatory). If you are not logged in as a sender during the ordering process, we process the following data: name, email address and IP address. Your name and address details and other information about the order are processed in order to process your order and payment and to be able to deliver it on time. We use your email address and telephone number to keep you informed of the status of the order, to communicate about the order in another way and to inform you about our services and promotions. Your gender is registered so that we can address you correctly. Your IP address is processed to analyze trends in purchasing behavior and to prevent and combat (identity) fraud. Recipient: When an order is placed through us, the following data of the recipient is processed: name and address, city, telephone number and e-mail address (telephone number and e-mail address are optional). In this case, the name and address details of the recipient and other information about the order are processed by us in order to be able to deliver the surprise to the correct address on time. Both Web it Up and the sender and recipient have an interest in this, because otherwise the recipient may not be able to receive the package (on time). We process the personal data of senders and recipients on the basis of a legitimate interest. The aforementioned interests have been weighed against the interests of senders and recipients, whereby specific account has been taken of the right to protection of their privacy. This takes into account, among other things, the fact that we only process a minimal amount of personal data and that recipients generally appreciate receiving such surprises.

In order to optimize our website and services, we also collect and use statistical data about search, click and purchase behavior, including information about your internet browser, any language settings and information about the settings of the operating system of the computer or mobile device with which you visit us.
